Lily exploring outdoors, Oregon Zoo, at 10 days old

The father of the 11-year old was finally arrested, and the three children removed from the home. And the "mother" of the shooter (actually his aunt) was on TV and was totally drugged out. Apparently, they hadn't spoken in four years, something to do about an inheritance they fought about. Talk about dystunctional families. It was a good thing that, six months ago, police and the mall employees went through just such a scenario, and were prepared. They knew all the exits, stairways and hiding places, and how to lock down the entire mall. How senseless it all was.

Luckily the gun jammed. too many psychos with access to guns. Like the 11 year old last week!

Lily will be ready to meet the public Friday 10-2. Then I will finally be allowed to take photos which has been very tempting while babysitting but not allowed. The keepers are gradually letting her meet the others but mom keeps her a trunk's length away from Sam.

I saw this photo in today's Oregonian. I hear she's very rambunctious and loves her older brother Sam.

Have you heard about the shooting at Clackamas Town Center? Horrifying. Everyone's lucky there weren't even more deaths.
