We all miss some, Barb. No need for sorry, I appreciate you exactly like you are! Besides the color adaption, found interesting even the wing size and shape for a moth had adapted out of normal shape for survival. The wing pattern really shows off the body color. It makes me wonder if they taste bad to preditators as well. Thanks
Wow! Dave, this moth wears some gaudy colors! It sure must look like evil to the would-be predators....LOL I don't know how I missed such screaming colors, but I did :( Sorry, Dave!
-Guy walks into a proctologist's office and says, "Doctor I need help. I think I'm a moth." -Doctor says, "Why did you come in here? You need a psychiatrist, I'm a proctologist." -Guy says, "Your light was on."
He reminds me of a bumble bee in that his body is so hefty it's hard to imagine the thin wings could possibly lift him off that leaf. Beautiful critter with such bright colors. thanks!
It probably survives because of looking like a bee or wasp, Lyndee, even though it is a moth.
If you have your camera when you see one, Kat, jigidis love to see them. The ones that get in your grains are small too. Lunar moths are also amazing and we get a few of them every fall. Nature is so amazing if we pay attention to her a litle bit!
He is like me Cathy, sometimes he goes out with his pajamas on. Well, all the time for him! Thanks!
Incredible coloring. Moths (the big outdoor guys as opposed to the little ones who eat your woolens) are truly incredible creatures. I noticed a large one outside the other day and upon closer inspection, its camouflage was intricate and absolutely amazing. Thank you for the puzzle, warbler!
