I know what you mean June that's why we prefer not to go on coach holidays so we can keep away from the crowds which you can't always avoid...Sue

I think this is the round about way out of Ambleside on the one way system with parking on one side of the road, probably they are residents. Ambleside seems to be permanently crowded. Always strikes me as odd that people come to the lakes and crowd into the little towns where there are shops and cafes (count me in) it's supposed to be a place for rambling and mountain climbing

Hi Denise and Joyce, I see mainly homes. I haven't done the puzzle yet but I think there are some shops on the left of the picture further down the road, I also see a B&B sign on the right hand side of the picture. It looks as if it's what we call a one-way system where the cars go in one direction only. Thank you...Sue
