Janet we don't have to contend with many snakes.where we live. Just an odd one here and there. If we do see one,we've been asked , not to kill it ,or try to catch it,but to phone a Guy who has a snake farm, He's a professional.

Dafna I admire these Hydrangeas ,although we can never get them to grow like this, In our Garden, also gets very hot. It must be difficult to garden with snakes around. Very interesting information,now I've learned something new. Thank you for your input.

Dafna, we have snakes in Australia too, but my garden is very wild. I like to clean it up for the summer when it's so hot and they are active. Nice to meet you.
We cannot plant it like this, There can be snakes between the high flowers. (hot climate). When we plant, between the plants we see the ground, or TUF or gravel.
