Lorna, I forgot to say that it isn't a huge parade. I think it took about 50 minutes. But there are other things going on all day ... Celtic musicians and dance groups.

Thanks Lorna! We were very lucky (blessed!) this time. Most years it is raining on the 17th and sometimes it even snows on the parade!!

Thank you gemstone! Then you have many happy memories of those parades. This one goes along Granville and then Georgia. On the left you can see a bit of the Robson Square complex.

My dad was the proud bearer of the Maple Leaf in the Lower Mainland Colour Party for many years...way back when it used to be a five mile march in the hot sun of August (wearing wool blazers) for the PNE parade.
