Hi Carol. Glad you liked it. Yes, Lynn Valley is still zoned for horses. And a recent law was passed that people in the district of North Van can keep chickens!! I think that is wonderful !!
How neat! Anxious to see. My horse was kept at a private residence/property ......of course, those were the days when Lynn Valley was considered way out in the "country".... but, apparently it is still zoned for horses!? :) Can't remember the property number. (My old memory fails me on many an occassion.) :))))
Thank you Ank. You are very kind!!Hi Carol. You are very welcome too. After leaving Grand Blvd we are on Lynn Valley Road ( I'll post a picture in a few minutes.) We go under the Trans Canada Highway and then two blocks later we turn left on Williams. This stable is two blocks up Williams on the left. Further up after crossing 29th Street (the bus route) and walking another block we come to a another bigger riding stable. Perhaps your horse lived at that one?
A very pretty photo, thanks Cathy.
THANK YOU, Cevas! There used to be a riding stable up there owned by a family named Donovan. Maybe the same place or a boarding stable now.
Thank you Suzy. Usually when I pass these stables there are one or two horses in the paddock or even right over near the fence where I am standing. But the day I brought my camera to take a picture of them this was the only one I could see. He looked like he was seriously considering a nap.
Thank you Jacques! I'm glad you like it. It's not a great picture but I think Carol will remember this place.
nice picture, i love it!
