Great point, whizbang! Thanks for commenting:)

Love the derbies. Think the bowling pins and boxing gloves etc. next to some of them were other sports those particular gentlemen were involved in. There weren't that many photos in those days so you stuffed it all in (including doggie mascot).

Good researching kat. Thank you.

I've been browsing around and am learning some interesting things, though nothing about this particular photo. In any event, this is a work of the Detroit Publishing Company, from between 1895-1910. That was apparently an important company when postcards were a major source of info to Americans about this vast country! The collections of the company now mostly belong to the Henry Ford Museum.

Oh I just came back to see if anyone else had ideas. Hi kat again. I am looking also at their equipment: a bat, boxing gloves, a large ball - so curious.

Good eye, twoclubs! I'll dig around and see if I can find more info. I got this image from Wikimedia, which is a site I just discovered. Glad you enjoyed!

interesting photo katwoody. The tees look like they have a hat with a wing on it making me think the team was called Mercury? And look at that sweet dog. Times gone by.
