I can see that resemblance--it does look as if there were lots of little stitches! I'm glad you enjoyed this--thanks xke!
Doing the puzzles, but slowly. Love this one, and certainly not too unusual Reminds me of crewel embroidery....
Hi, Ardy--you must have posted your comment just as I posted my reply to lela--sorry! I'm so glad you like this one--I wasn't sure if it might not be just a little too unusual, so I'm thrilled that it pleased you that much!
Thanks, whatnauts and Mandy--after 56 years, I finally got to display my work! LOL!
Your marquetry techique is brilliant, Pat - you've put that woodwork kit to excellent use.
Good morning right back at ya'! :-)))
Thanks, lela and Marianne! Yes, with the wood-burning kit my dad got me when I was about 10. I only made a few things, then lost interest for a bit, so he took it away from me and gave it to his niece--so that shows how old this puzzle really is! LOL!
Love this, Pat. The colors, the textures, the story. It's one of those art works that amazes and excites me. Thank you. I think ever your swirls won't top this today. This one comes with its own special blessing for me. Thank you, again.
Nice colors and textures Pat! Thanks!
Yes, very nice.....did you etch the wood yourself?.....
You're very welcome, Ms. Pat!! And a Good Morning to you while I'm here. :-)
Well, thank you, Ms. Wendy! :-)))
Pat, this is FLAT OUT WONDERFUL!!
