Hey Rob, I too am an Aussie and yes they are annoying... but so are people at times & they get in my hair, but I sure don't want to wear them as a necklace!!!! Just joking.... BTW: It's a lovely photo - Have a great Chrissy!

Meadowhawk - they buzzzzz around a lot, get in your hair & are generally a nuisance.
Ours are plant chompers too chickie.

It looks like our Japanese Beetle that devours a lot of plants and ruins vegitation here in the U.S. Except ours is green.

sugarsids, I was just kidding because they look like gold. I wouldn't harm them. LOL

sugarsids - if you could see how many we get, you'd realise a few on necklaces would be like a drop in the ocean. They seem to only come out at night & annoy you!!
I agree 100% lyndee - I just liked the colour of this one. They also come in green & other mixed colours.

They have a very hard shell to them - and I agree, very annoying little beetles! thanks rob:)

Beetles are a nuisance here in our area in the summer time. They are pretty but I sure don't care for them.

Chickiemama: But much nicer seeing them ALIVE flying around the bush than on a necklace... :(
