Not sure if you know the "conger" eel, Lis. They grow to 100+ pounds. I'm afraid that yours would have been a little "tiddler" but still fun to catch. The river eels are more difficult to hold than sea eels. They produce more slime!

love eels, but pretty expensive in dk. i only fish once. caught an eel and it escaped. since that never again

i'm fishing off the rocks. i used to fish here a lot when i was younger. mackerel, bass, pollock, conger eels. good fun.
