Looks yummie. Hi and Hugs Lyndee. Miss you and hope your doing well.I am trying..
Thanks lyndee I'll pick some up when I am over your side for Thanksgiving :-)
MMMMMMMMMM!!! Making my mouth water just looking at them! Yummy!
Brie, Beau Monde is a spice you can buy at the super market in the spice aisle. It is made up of a combination of other herbs such as celery, onion, and salt. It's also good as a rub for roast.Glad you enjoyed the chips and fries Gladstone. Ketchup does seem to be the most popular but lately, I'm wanting cheese sauce on my fries......which is good but soooooo bad! :)
try try try to beat someone who is very good at food puzzles - (down to 2nd place!) sheer determination to get there!!By the way - what is Beau Monde?
All those chips and fries are making me hungry and I just finished eating a little while ago. I like ketchup on my fries. Thank you Lyndee, I'm ready for seconds.
No surprise Brie, you're always on top of the board! Don't know how you do it so fast!!!!
Whoohoo!! 9 seconds!
chips in soup too! They are like long croutons!
Hi Robbie. Glad to see you back with us again. Now, if you take the mayonnaise and add sour cream, minced onion, dill and BeauMonde, then you've got a great dip for your chips. That is, for potato chips, not sure how that would be with zucchini chips!Ketchup seems to be the most popular Beekay!
Hi Lyndee, sure does look good to me!! In Bermuda we put Hellman's real mayonnaise on our chips.......However last year in Nova Scotia I was served chips with snooker's beef gravy.......WOW they were delicious!!
Just a little ketchup for me and I'd be a happy girl!
Oh, that sounds good too Snooker. Also good mixed with chicken noodle soup.. LOL Did the french really started the french fry because if they did......they definitely started something!!!!
Beef gravy on fries is excellent too.
I love a mixture of ketchup and mayo with mine Snooker. It's the best!!!!
When I was still in Canada I used to love fries with vinegar - think it was just plain vinegar. Now in the States I just have ketchup on them.
I bet that would be good Brie, but not sure about the vinegar part. Guess I won't know unless I try. But, for somebody (myself) who doesn't care for pickles, I may not like it with vinegar on it.Hi snooker, you're a vinegar gal too huh?
It would appear Snooker, that the people of Kenora have excellent taste!
always enjoyed a trip to Kenora, Ontario in the summer as there was a chip stand and salt and vinegar was what was put on them.
http://www.jigidi.com/created.php?id=PBJ9KC5RYes, malt vinegar - the other fancy ones just don't have the kick and tangy-ness.And even more decadent is two slices of fresh, crusty white bread slathered in butter and piping hot chips with salt and vinegar between the two slices - the British 'chip butty' - perfection!
I've never thought of putting tartar sauce on anything but seafood. But, I can see that it might be good lajuin. You're welcome Cathy.Laura, malt vinegar.......I will definitely try that.....of course, the salt is a must no matter how you eat it.
Do you have any tartare sauce?
Looks wonderful !! Thank you Lyndee!!
Yep...malt vinegar and salt. Yum!
I'll put another batch on for you Patti and Dave.......and maybe a little extra for me too. :)
I agree with Dave!!! I see nothing there that isn't good!!!
Excuse me---Its Good.......but oh so good! Coming back for seconds!
I'm going to do that next time Gracie. Nothing venture, nothing gain! :)
Any kind of vinegar Lyndee, you have to try it!!
Thanks gemstone. I must try that some time. It sounds like it could be a little healthier than my cheese sauce!!!!!!
Malt vinegar...heavily sprinkled all over! :)))
So Brie and samantha, how do you have vinegar with your fries? Do you sprinkle it on or dip it? And, is it apple cider vinegar or white vinegar or some other kind? This is all new to me.Yes Pumpkin.......those zucchini chips were delish!!!!
Potatoes...zucchini...2 of your 5-a-day - so can't be that bad. Unfortunately, crinkle cut chips have more calories as they have a greater surface area than straight cut chips...Yes, in England salt and vinegar an absolute necessity!
The zucchini chips look pretty darn good!
yum....just pass me the catsup, salt....and if I lived in Canada...I'd want vinegar!!
