I have spent a lot of time in Greece over the years and used to smile to myself when they rave about their sunsets. Burt I was polite, never mentioned that we used to groan at times because the more beautiful the sunset the hotter tomorrow was going to be.
I know you're all suffering terribly with freezing temps, but when one gets stuck in a car that won't start, that means that you've got no heating to keep you warm! No heating for an hour and a half!!!! It's a wonder you're able to use your fingers to tell me this story. Oh good grief, how on earth did you keep warm while you waited for help? I guess you keep warm blankets and spare jackets in the car. Oh my, I can't even imagine how you must've felt, Nicole!
This is absolutely stunning, chookies. I just spent one and a half hours waiting to be rescued in a broken down car and it was soooo cold. I'm still not warm after a hot coffee!
So weird Chookies. You don't want to go out because it's so hot. I don't want to go out because it's so cold. What a big big world this small world is!!!!!
Hi lyndee, this is the best time of the day to go down the beach - the sun has gone down and the sand has cooled down just enough that you can walk on it. During our hot spells, the temperature of the ocean is equivalent to having a warm bath and doesn't give much relief at all but in the winter the ocean is freezing. We've only just come out of a heat-wave and the beaches along the coast were the favorite spot for hundreds all wanting to feel the cool breeze that comes off the ocean after dark. Now we're getting prepared again for another 7 day heat-wave - all days above 105F. It'll be a miracle if we have any garden left after this one - with NO rain in sight.
