Oh, Pumpkinhead, didn't they invite you to go with them? Its probably just as well, no telling where they end up or when... TexasStar, how luck that this is so close to you. I LOVE Chihuly. I yearn for a piece, just one. Of course, on my budget that's about like wishing for Jupiter or Neptune. Anther, this is not just for Halloween but for all of Autumn/Fall. Anne and Lyndee thanks for your comments. I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I could not resist sharing it. Thanks friends.
Well, Cheryl. Now I know where all of my distant cousins have gone!
Lyndee, no, those places are across town. The Arboretum is in East Dallas, right on White Rock Lake, where I live. You can see it on the map.
Anther, we had a really bad hailstorm back in June (I posted jigs of baseball sized hail), and it barely damaged only one Chihuly work. Very lucky. It is a beautiful place with something for everyone and well worth the time. If you ever have a chance, do visit, you'll be delighted.
Texasstar - you've made my day! Just shows why you are a star! Thank you so much for the website for the Dallas Arboretum - I love Chihuly's work too and these are no exception. It was great to wander around and look at all the treats in store for visitors. Thanks again.
Tex, My hubby has relatives in Frisco, Grapevine and Hurst. Are they near these gardens?
And thank you, VermontMeow, for posting this. It's just across the lake from where I live. We're very proud of it.
Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens has been named one of the 12 most beautiful gardens in the world! Here is a link with interesting information about this Autumn festival:
Cheryl, I'm amazed at the sheer quantity of pumpkins. I guess the display is like the Flower shows where people design and build the most elaborate displays but how long does the Halloween celebration go for? Love to see it and be there, must be awesome. It certainly is in your puzzle. Thank you for sharing it.
I almost didn't do this puzzle as it's a little larger than I like. I'm glad I went ahead and did it. It is fabulous. That has to be a lot of work. Thanks Vermont.
