Why are you reporting this puzzle?

Since this is my family, I believe the fuzzy creature sitting between my parents is a dog, most likely, Ring, a sweetheart Doberman pinscher.

The woman standing behind my parents is Frau Ruecker, who lost her entire family during the war. She and mom became extremely good friends and corresponded with each other for the next 50 years until Frau Ruecker's death.

They certainly seem to be sharing a good time together...and your mom definitely has that "look of love" in her expression ;-))

I love seeing photos of Mom & Dad at this age, Lorna. I believe that children never really get to see their parents as young and full of a life that does not revolve around them. Too often, our parents are simply imprinted on our memories as middle aged, with no lives of their own outside of being our Moms and Dads.

Thanks, Raaike. I was lucky to be born into their family.

Pleasant people, with a happy smile ! :-)))

Their smiling faces exude happiness. What a wonderful photo Kathleen.

Yes it was, Florrie. My Dad often talked that it was his favorite posting. I'll see if I can't find anymore of the photos from that posting.

Dad was a career officer in the Army, Smllpkg. He was commissioned in 1939 and didn't retire until the mid-60s. I had a wonderful life growing up overseas and in the States.

I wish I knew what they were so happy about, Cathy. I like to think it was because they were young and in love.

I posted this on facebook for my family, Lyndee, and most had not seen it before, but like you - they loved how happy Mom & Dad were at the time.

Such a happy picture. It has to bring a smile everytime you look at it Toto. Thanks.
