I love kitties.

Impie

LOL catslave......:))

catslave

Sounds like he puts his 'giddy knickers' on!! :D

Impie

Thank you Lynetteoz:))

Catslave :D ......he can be very boring, then all of a sudden throws his head back....meows....scratches (I mean REALLY scratches!!) his scratch post ......rushes up the stairs...slips on the laminate (1st)floor while he makes a sharp curve to the top stairs....rushes up those stairs.....comes all the way down again...and usually repeats it once more!!! (Who needs (serious) toys when you have 2 stairs in the house?)..:))

catslave

So deep in thought! Goofie, toys are meant to be fun, not taken so seriously! ;)

Lynetteoz

Goofie is really thinking about this toy isn't he!! Love hearing about his funny little ways. So adorable :-)

Impie

Thanks Rebecca:))

RebeccaB

Too cute!! (Luna story, as well as this puzzle.)

Impie

LOL Rebecca.....Never tried it....but he has been watching his performances on YouTube on my tablet though☺ Some time ago he was sitting in the middle of the living room and I played off his film on my digital camera, I turned up the volume so he could hear himself calling for Luna in the garden..... He ran to the door and searched the garden where that "cat" was that he'd heard:))) He sat there for minutes like a meerkat.:))

RebeccaB

Oh dear, the challenges of an advanced child! Have you ever had a bird or rodent video he can watch? Those move "on their own" which might hold his attention, but of course he isn't getting any exercise just watching...

Impie

P.S. .... never mind....I love him any way:))))))))

Impie

Rebecca....been there done that....and it may work for other cats, but after a few days ...the same boredom strikes again!:))
He must also have a very good memory.....once he gets "hurt" (in his opinion that is) by a toy, he never ever wants to play with it again and runs. It's a good thing we didn't have snow this year, because for years he played "fetch" with snowballs. We would throw and he ran after it until winter 2012/2013 then my son threw a snowball which landed on Goofie's shoulder.....he really was DONE playing with snowballs from then on!☺

Deklan, he has a lot of toys containing catnip and first he loves it but once he's used to it he doesn't give it a second look☺

Deklan

I WILL TAKE THE BORING TOYS AND PUT THEM IN A SEALED CONTAINER OF CATNIP OVERNIGHT. THAT ALWAYS BRINGS BACK THE SPARK. THANKS FOR THE PIC

RebeccaB

Yes, put the toy(s) away for a while (weeks, or maybe months) and then get them out again , it will be like a whole new toy. :)

Impie

Oh yes Mrs Quinn....and when it moves unexpectedly, his whiskers move forwards:)))))))

Mrs_Quinn_Eskimo

Goofie - this is serious toy playing today - I know you are just waiting for it to move again.

Impie

Hi soo, maybe Milly is like Goofie and a lot of other cats...spoilt for choices!!☺♥

Goofie doesn't like boxes...don't know why, but he just doesn't tisketsmum. Our Happy was like Jimmy...he shredded many a box☺♥

tisketsmum

Fascinating that Tisket also loves the joined elastic bands and can amuse herself for quite a while with those. I've heard that small children prefer the box to the present that came in it, but hadn't made the connection to our cats that can be amused with the simplest of things, including a box!

soo

I think that is the most serious expression I have seen yet Goofie! Milly has lots of toys but doesn't bother with them much either, the only one she really likes is a small grey mouse, it has no tail one eye and most of its fur has gone :))

Impie

Thanks tisketsmum.....he has a very expressive face and I often call him "smoelie" (pronounced smooly☺) which means so much as pretty or handsome face☺☺☺
So not just their appearances but also as to a low bordom threshold...Tisket and he really could be siblings☺♥

LOL roseheather.....I try to bring some variety in his toys, but most of it is a waste of money. What he does like, apart from his washing line, are a few elastic bands tied to eachother....he picks them up runs and jumps round with them in his mouth...he'll also try to sweep them under the rug.... stand on them and let them snap....it's great entertainment and fun to watch his antics, I love every moment and treasure it because it is over in a flash☺☺♥

Thanks Marian.....maybe a bit too serious at times, he can watch MY antics for minutes ☺♥

Marian_Black

I love the look on Goofie's face in this picture. There's some serious thought going on there.

roseheather

Goofie, what a goofy you are! : )

My kitty girl would also lose interest after a bit. She liked to grab for the belts on hangers in the closet or she liked to have us drag a leather shoe string across the floor. My son's two kitties would drag the leather shoe string for each other. ; ) I started using the leather strings thinking it would be kinder on their mouths.

tisketsmum

Terrific photo Impie, I just love the look on his face like he's thinking "go on then, do something!"
Tisket has a fairly low boredom threshold and I find myself pulling toys round the house but she's gone for a nap :-))

Impie

Hi Jimmy.....apart from my washing line (I play with it all by myself and have lots of fun) I always lose interest in new cat toys rather quickly:))

maegi

Hi Goofie, I've the same toy since month, but I'm no longer interested on it... Really funny toys should move by themselves ;-)
