to texasstar7 these are not saffron crocus, saffron crocus is grown in parts of china, india, and nepal. they are a dark purple color and the steman looks almost deep orange. they are carefuly picked by hand and seperated and laid on specialy made screens. they then are put on drying racks and when they are dried it is packaged and sent to markets.i watched the documentry on this.
Thanks, Morris, I do too. They don't do so well here, probably because it isn't very cold, but I always manage to have a few in the back beds. Thanks, Nellies and Shirley, glad you stopped by. Trish, I had forgotten that that's where saffron comes from. As expensive as it is, maybe we should harvest these??
Lydie, as much as I love winter, I feel sorry for you. That's MUY FRIO! Thank you, Elina, glad you enjoyed this, I loved your set today, too. Thanks, Patti, Sis and CM. Glad you like this. They sure are cheerful.
WOW super mooi foto. I love this!!! Thank you, Tex. Tomorrow I'll make the other. I need for a visit tonight and I have unfortunately today very little time to puzzle. I watched the other puzzles, and they are also wonderful to see.
