That's the one! :)
Would that be "Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree..."? That's about the only song I can think of about a kookaburra :-)
Thanks, Pat. What kind of bird do you have?
Love the bird of course I have a bird myself.
Thank you, Roseheather. (I've read that they only eat small fish, so I guess they're always near water.)
You have some interesting variety of birds in your area. I hvae never seen a kingfisher other than in pictures. Very nice.
Thanks, Jacques. :)

Gladstone -- You're welcome! Thanks for stopping by.
Shirley -- thank you! I will look forward to YOUR kingfisher! :)
Foxy -- thank you. I know a song about the kookaburra, but will have to look it up to see what it looks like. Will be interesting.
Jan, CM, TS7, and Snooker -- thank you, you guys. Always a treat to hear from all of you!
Ank -- How sweet is that! I see your star here and will go read about it. Thanks!
Wow Patti she is beautiful, I never saw her before. Thanks.
Patti I have had a gift of Pkin. If you want to read about it look at her side to todays good morning. She gave me a star.
Haven't seen one of them in ages.
He's just totally relaxed! Thanks, PLG, good shot.
Nice shot PLG.
Pretty bird. She is very pretty.
Thanks for a lovely photo of a lovely bird, Patti. I haven't seen a belted kingfisher but it reminds me of our kookaburra which is not not surprising as they are from different families of the same order. Fearsome beaks on them!
So unusual but interesting, Thanks Patti. I downloaded a African Pied Kingfisher yesterday, I hope to incorporate into a puzzle soon, he's a little like this one.
