Ha! ha! ha!!

Get that lovely bird an entire package of sour cream crisps - my treat. Would love to hear her say "thank you". Sounds like a very nice lunch. Love scallops too, but they are a bit expensive here. Try mixing your gin with port -
if you couldn't sing before, you certainly can after 1 or 2

i've heard of the author barbara cartland. i thought, on your last comment, that the cocktail was called a BC, and it was that that i hadn't heard of. i misunderstood. btw if i don't use upper case in a comment it's cos i'm holding a drink (non-alcoholic). sour cream pringles are our favourites. she gets excited when she sees the box. she holds the crisp in her left claw and nibbles at it voraciously. when its finished she says "thank you" which is her way of asking for more.

had a lovely lunch at a waterfront pub. i go for meals with my cousin, Enid - i wouldn't go by myself. my starter was scallops and my main was bbq ribs and chips with a half of ale(driving). i don'tusually have a starter at lunchtime but i love scallops and haven't had them for a while. i used to fish for scallops when i lived in scotland. i talk a lot after a half of beer!!

Cartland wrote a huge amount of romantic books, always wore pink, was related to princess Diana - do google her - have to see her picture. I do know Pringles - pretty good. Didn't know parrots liked them. Hope you had a nice lunch without both of us "chicks"

I'm going out soon, Lis, so will speak later. BFN

I've never heard of a Barbara Cartland, either. But my favourite spirit is gin and I do enjoy port so that could be a nice mix. Layla does love the food we enjoy - all the bad things. I don't know if you get Pringles crisps (round discs) but she adores them. Probably the salt. She would go but I don't think the restaurant would be too keen!!LOL

I know of another drink acc. to Barbara Cartland: Mylord's best gin mixed with Mylord's best port. You should try it! Yes I remember having red, that the pigeon is Irish. Are you taking Layla out for lunch? Would love to come along with the pair of you

you like guiness! when i was at college i used to drink guiness and cider mixed. it's known as poor man's black velvet. actual black velvet is guiness and champagne. you need to go to ireland, where it is brewed, to taste it at it's best. only a short ferry trip from here. did i tell you that the pigeon was from dublin in ireland? i am going out for lunch today so that should be nice. shame that i'm not taking you!

You are a man of my taste - letting me choose! Feeling differently today. Can we stop at the pub's on the way home from the coast and have a pint of guiness - lovely brew

How is the cold today, Lis. If you are well we could go for a walk along the coast or up the mountains. You choose!

How very fast the world has changed. Bigger and faster. Wonder if the youth of today will ever look at a Boing 747 with tenderness?
