At one of the universities in my state they have these in very large tubs, and apparently wheel them out each spring and back in for the winter. The horticulture department at the university have trimmed it so it looks like a tree.

They will not winter-over here, but they are beautiful, and I get one each year.

thanks everyone for the info. i told my husband that it is a kind of weed but he liked it anyway so he got one for our tiny garden. but he has to prune it often...

Yes RandomWordship, I am from OZ and this is a beast of a plant to have in the garden unless you keep pruning it, I tried it a part of my backyard and it got away on me, so out it came.

Yes, it is Lantana. We call it a Fruit Loop plant, like the cereal,
because of all the color variations. I have to buy one every year.
Can't seem to winter them over till spring. Thanks for picture.
RW - I can see how the woody stems would be hard to dig if invasive.
In middle USA we have garlic mustard, poison ivy, etc. If it were
all edible, we could feed the world!

Hi Irma! I believe that it's Lantana:

In most parts of Australia, where I'm from, it's regarded as an invasive weed!!
