That's okay, Cevas. Didn't you intend to go skiing this weekend anyway? :-)No snow on the river, Gemstone? Speedboatracing is one possibility.
No snow on the river, cevas...just sunshine! :)))
They are great ... I love the song!! But I don't remember them or the song at all. Thank you Starlord for the puzzle and the youtube link. It snowed here this morning ... not just on the mountains ... down here in the city too! Brrrr!
@ Squishy: Maybe most of the bands I post are English. It's the music I grew up with. It's the music I played when I got my first guitar. It's the music I still like best now :-) I don't post any Belgian or Dutch groups, even though some of them were fabulous, but they hardly ever made it outside the country border.@ Pkin: and the curtsey?
Yes you are SIR WIZARD STARLORD
Thank you Starlord - signs of a misspent youth!! I had two older brothers who were budding guitarists in the 60's - I just listened. I actually thought the Flowerpot Men were from the US too. I don't remember any of their other songs - this one is stuck in my head now. Along with Scott McKenzie's of course.
@ Squishy: you are really good, you know that? :-) Indeed the Flowerpot men, and since you mention their greatest hit, here it is... Let the good times rollhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puuWsTitPa4I'm not whining, Pkin... I'm merely stating :-)
Have no clue Sir Wizard Starlord.... But quit your whinning about the cold.. It's colder here to where you are.... Here it is 19 F converted it is -7.2 C
I know the Flowerpot Men sang Let's go to San Francisco - is it them?
No snow here, but a cold wind and a minus 2 Celsius. :-)Indeed, Squisjy and Lillyjean, we're in the middle of the flowerpower period with this band. Easy to tell by their clothing. It was a British pop band and they started in 1967. I thought they were American because in their biggest hit, they invite you to go to a major city in the States. Now that's a giveaway if ever I saw one. :-)
Goodness me snowing we are still enjoying one of our best summers and as for the group I know it would be the seventies but I haven't a clue.
Morning everyone! It's snowing here, and gale force winds - lovely!Tricky one... apart from the Mamas and Papas, the only hippie band I can think of this early in the morning is the Lovin' Spoonful. But that's just a guess.
