A very long time ago, I convinced my then fiancee to go back-packing with me. We hiked along side this long beautiful lake and around to the back side of Square Top. We camped there and a few days later hiked to the top. The view from the top was incredible. I could see mountains a hundred miles away. That's the way I remember it.
(We never went back-packing together, again! The marriage lasted slightly longer than the hike!)
