Thank you, Maryrob & Bloorox. Laurajane, I love Wildbirds Unlimited, and usually they have better regional information than any birdbook. Maybe there's one near you. Good luck with the Waxwings. I love Orioles, too, they're both such beautiful birds.
That is a good website, tex. Thank you. I have a crab apple, but it is overtaken by robins in the fall, stripping off the berries. Sigh. I will have to see if I can plant a nice winterberry bush, or something similar. I want to attract waxwings and also orioles. I have neither.
LJ, they like berries, and these are possumhaw I'm the wrong one to ask, since I've hung suet and seed/berry bells in my back and have had not one bird, but lot of squirrels! Here is a little snippet that Wildbirds, Unlimited had in one of their publications, and they're usually right on the money.
