Hey Rob, don't listen to a word he says, I'm just a LITTLE afraid of big birds! L.O.L.
Hey thanks Rob! I too love watching these birds at play, as they can be a real riot! Boy, they can be pretty loud too! I used to own a Macaw named Roxy, had her for about 6 years! Then I met Monica and the two of them just didn't hit it off, well, it didn't help that Monica was terrified of her, as she was used to much smaller birds! So, to make a long story short, it was either Roxy or Monica. I guess by now you know who I chose! l.o.l. But I don't regret my decision as I wouldn't trade the last 13 years of marriage to her for anything! Roxy is in a good home with a mate of her own! Who knows, there may even be a little Roxy running around somewhere!
We're fortunate enough to have a couple of dozen Rainbow Lorikeets visit our neighbours bird feeder about 4 days a week. They know how to kick up a real racket!! They're even funnier to watch when they get stuck into flowers on a hot day in summer - they get fermented nectar & I've seen them hanging upside down giving out pathetic squarks!! Drunk birds!! Nice photo Gary - thanks.
