Thank you, Suzy -- it was a rare day that day. We had gotten all that beautiful, sticky snow, but the water didn't freeze until just after the snow came down, making the icy water a shade of blue instead of white.
Aww, thanks Chickie. I did use one of these on this year's calendar.
Thank you, Oddio. I agree. It's what I love about winter. The rest isn't all that interesting: scraping windshields, shoveling driveways, freezing every time you go outside, etc. But Mother Nature makes me love it every year anyway!
Awww, thank you, PG. I haven't been out with the camera -- you are right. Have been doing all the driving so haven't brought it along. I'll try to get back to it.
Robryan -- thank you. Yes, it's about 8 miles from where I live. I'm on the northern border of Wisconsin, and this is the southern border of Upper Michigan. It's not terribly cold.
Chickie-- so glad you liked this set.
Roseheather -- thank you. So glad you liked these. (You may be right -- it could be a snowmobile trail. Or someone's driveway. I zoomed in from a distance, so don't know what it was.)
I've been looking at these backwards, started with the one with a quote. I like this one showing the elevation away from the water. The trees, snow laden as they are, look especially beautiful in this photo. ; )
