Woods perfumed with lavender

What a wonderful shot - the green looks so green, and the purple-blue so vibrant too. I thought these were bluebells, I've never seen lavender grow under trees like this before.

I think I might have remarked before that my mother used to put a small linen bag with a couple of sprigs of lavender in it under our pillows.

Thank you all for your comments. When I saw this photo, I realized that I really could smell the lavender and I remembered those languid moments when, as children, we would lie down amid the flowers and gaze at castles in the sky :)
