I asked Google your question, and it said 1401 times!! So you'd better bring some sturdy walking shoes with you. And a hat to protect from our fierce sun. We have a hole in the ozone layer over us, so skin cancer is a real problem here. And I knew that we fielded someone in Eurovision (thanks for the points by the way), but I don't know how it came about. Do you think someone got our two country names confused? LOL!!
And I think I am lucky to live where I do too. But I've been building up to it for a long time. This is my third house - and comes close to what I always wanted. Lots of nature around me. I like nature. (•‿•)
Hahahah, I'm sure we could find what we want Kirsten.. Australia is so big. How many times would Holland fit in it? By the way, yesterday I saw on tv that Australia participated in the EuroVisionSong Contest, for the first time. Holland gave them 12 points, (the maximum), they did very well.. :-)) I didn't hear the song, don't know what it was like, but I was just surprised.. Australia in an EUROPEAN song contest??? :-))) It's nice to read about you and your sisters . I know that a lot of people really don't care, and I'm glad you do :-))) Sounds wonderful where you live... wow.. Hills, a creek.. You are lucky, but I guess you know that.. :-)))
I LOVE your conviction to the environment, Maddie. You'd fit in right here with me and my sisters. One of my sisters only got a car a few years ago - and only through circumstances really (it was my dad's car). But she still walks, cycles or catches public transport just about everywhere. Same with my other sister really. She used to work in the city. And she cycled in every day. For me, it's harder to live without a car, or rely on public transport. I live further away from the city than them. So I drive just about everywhere. But in other ways I try to reduce my environmental impact.
And yes, I have hills where I live. Our house is half way down a small hill, and all around here it's quite hilly. Luckily it's flatter near the end of the road, so we have a small creek (stream) down there. Which is lovely. It attracts lots of bids, which I really like. And it's also quite heavily treed where I live. Which is also important to me. I need to see nature around me!
So, get on that plan girl - and we'll start exploring! There's something for everyone here. Tropics. Deserts. Rain forests. Temperate areas. Ski fields. Lakes. Rivers. Bays. Oceans. Whatever you want, we can find. (•‿•)
hahah, I knew you would be surprised :-))) Mario did a have a licence, but we've never had a car .Didn't want one and didn't need one. By conviction, or how do you say that in English? We were active in an environmental group :-) I do everything by bike, and when it's too far,I take the bus or train. To Australia, I would have to fly.. Too far to walk. :-)) Do you have hills where you live? ? Oh, Holland is okay, but so flat !! I'm sure we would find something wonderful... :-)))) Australia is great !!!
Wh.....what.....WHAT????? You don't have a driver's licence???? Oh, my. That's practically unheard of here,. Unless you live right in the middle of the city. But, okay. I have a new plan. You come here. We have loads of hills. Our villages aren't as sweet as this one - but I'm sure you'll find something you like. we'll explore until you do. LOL (•‿•)
John, I had noticed you were not on Jigidi for some time ! And I thought, hope he's okay,.. And then I read this.. Are you okay now? Take good care of yourself !
Phloxie ! Yes ,please bring those pictures. But it won't be possible to really wander through these hills. Holland is FLAT !! That's why I like drawing hills and mountains so much. I LOVE hills and mountains !! But we will have to wander through a flat land. One tiny bit of Holland has got low hills, it's lovely, but that is not where I live ,too bad.. I live in an ugly town in a flat landscape :-)) You will see..
Kimberlymarie, thanks (???)
you're welcome, Peterpanswoman ! :-) And thank you
Janet, thanks, yes, I loved the colors too :-)) Hugs back to you.
Kirsten, thanks, you're welcome to come over, but we would have to look really hard for those hills..... Holland is flat :-(( :-)))
LOL! Yes, I think our messages did pass in the trails of the internet. If your lights are always on, I would love to wander over and explore some of those colorful hills with you later in the summer. And I can bring pictures of some of the hills we have in Minnesota. :D))
Phloxie, I think we were typing at the same time, sorry.. Yes, I would like to wander through those hills too..preferably with a good friend.... :-))) [and my lights are always on :-)))))] Thanks Phloxie !
I think your colorful hills would be wonderful to explore! And the friendly village Beekay talks of looks like they are home, too, with all those lights on. It really is lovely. Thanks, Maddie. :)
