I love that, Jan--"And, like me, it is really lovely"!!! :-)))
My earlier comment to Barb disappeared too, Ardy--Jigidi is full of hiccups lately... I have a feeling that I'd be fine with designing a 1 and maybe even a 3 (just make an 8 and then bisect it), but a 5 would require a freehand drawing, and then people would find themselves guessing what it is--and your mail and your guests would get lost...!
Thanks, Jan--it does look like a slinky in mid slink, to me! I hope it stayed where it belonged--who knows what havoc it might have wreaked on your desk...!
Great puzzle and such a lively figures. I half way expected the left one to jump out and bump around on my desk. Reading the other comments - yes, cute numbers and more of them would be fun. I'm uncertain about the underwater theory - but it's a witty interpretation.
My comment disappeared!! I'm fairly sure I posted it. Oh well, I thought, Pat, that you could set up a business designing swirly house numbers. Now I need a 3, and an 8 with a 5 and a 1. Not in that order though so they need to be so they can be arranged as needed, Delightful puzzle. Thanks, Pat.
Thanks, Barb and Jan--I see the same number myself! I wrote a reply to Barb a few minutes ago, and it's gone! Anyway, what I said was that this was my attempt to show 2 swirls merging more and more, as you go from the left figure to the right one. It doesn't really seem to convey that, but I like it anyway, and I'm glad you both did, too!
Love the variation on your swirls, Pat! When I first looked at the thumbnail I thought it looked like the numbers 880. :-) Thanks for another great puzzle.
