Too right Shirley, things have changed.... Some for the better, but not all....Drive-In Theaters, Hamburger Joints, waitresses on roller skates... Where the bad boys only smoked and wore leather jackets.... We are very fortunate to have been there ... :) :)
Thanks Sweet Potato.... It was a gentler time... :) :)
Oh yes, I remember Bill Haley with his little curl on his forehead, Elvis Presley, and the Fonz, Hey, hey, who could forget the Fonz, all on the Jukebox at the little corner milkbar, yes we drank Milkshakes and listen to music, How things have changed. Thanks for the great memories Sally. :):)
Me too, S'mores!
The '50s were a great time, Pat.... When things were real... And we were happy, looking forward to the future.... The music was just right.... The atmosphere of life was positive... Got a big case of nostalgia here.... So glad we were there to live it.... :) :)
Heyyy! Robbie, Exactamundo... He always ended up doing the right thing and with class.... It's no wonder you're the Decent Docent, all that information tucked away in your fertile brain.... Sure didn't know about the song... Thanks ... :) :)
I told the Fonz to stop and he said........ 'Sit on it Walter'.... I tried.... :) :)
Thank you QORE.... But, alas, I'm not too young for Elvis to be a golden oldie... Most of us on Jigidi are oldies and quite a few are golden.... So many delightful friends on Jigidi.... It does seem like yesterday.... What great years they were...... :) :)
That brought back memories of the 50's. :)
The Fonz....my hero!! What a great puzzle SMor, I see that the Victor label song "I love you all the time" was sung by Harry Macdonough in 1904 and was auditioned for the song to be sung in Wizard of Oz halfway through act one. Another was chosen. Thanks for the fun.
NICE! Thank you, Sally.
(Tell Fonzie to stop pounding on that box!)
Great puzzle RS. I used to like jukeboxes a lot. It still surprises me when I happen on one (at some retro diner) and find Elvis listed as a Golden Oldie. You're too young to understand - but to me it still seems like just yesterday........
You are welcome Sissel.... Glad you liked it.... :) :)
Great collection - thanks :-)
