Although it would make sense to me and you to hold a winter festival indoors, I believe most of them are held outdoors, which is why I never attend either!!!!!
OMG! I can't imagine getting used to that! I don't think I've ever been in anything colder than single digit below zero (F, of course) temperatures! Brrrrrr is right!!!
It's all a matter of what you get used to. It would be very strange not to get down to -40C for at least a few days each winter. That's where our records are - consecutive days colder than -40C, which come to think of it, is also -40F. Brrrrr....
Well, it has been the last week or so, but we get into the teens and twenties most winters, just usually not for extended periods. We have records we keep for consecutive days under 32--your zero degrees, so I guess that sounds wimpy to you! LOL!
Unfortunately we get lots of weather like this, but I don't complain (much) until it gets to -30C. And that's not including the wind chill. Your weather is like a cool fall day. LOL
Oh, wow--I just did (well, I let Google do it for me!) the conversion to Fahrenheit, and that is COOOOOLD!!! I can't remember the last time we had below zero weather--it must be a few years. And then it would be for a day or two at the most! Brrrrrr--stay warm and snuggy! :-)))
It's been -20C for the last several days, so no, I'm not sunbathing these days. But tomorrow is supposed to be -6C, although I find that very hard to believe, since it is going to be -28C overnight. Anyways, if it does warm up, it may well feel like sunbathing weather. I started on my deck today, it wasn't too bad, all things considered. I shovelled about half of it, the part from my sliding doors to the garage.
Ah, see, we have to shovel our patio, or at least part of it, because that's where the gas grill is, and we use it year 'round! LOL! I assume you're not planning on sunbathing on your deck in the near future, so it will keep. :-)))
Although it would be great to meet you, I can understand about the travelling part. There's a young lady across the street who shovels the driveway and when there's too much snow, her dad brings over the snowblower, so they were both here yesterday morning. I used to use a service, but a couple of years ago Samantha asked if she could take it over. She's saving the money for a school trip to France, two or three years from now. There's no rush for the deck and I don't enjoy it, so I do that when I feel like it :)
I'm not sure how much snow we got, probably quite a bit. But there was a lot of wind, so the snow all drifted into the centre and bottom of the driveway and looked like it was about 1.5 feet high. I don't shovel the driveway so I can't be sure. I do have to shovel my back deck at some point and it looks like there is a heck of a lot of snow there :(
This is a really terrific design. We are in the middle of a blizzard, so we are getting lots and lots of flakes, but I can be sure none of them will be this pretty !! (16:47)
