unicorn3: here is the "earth" open screen (I think!) Nope... that didn't work. Anyway, basically yes. It's Ocean, then below that "HTSGW" As you click on different places it gives you the wave height. Oh, on the third line where it indicated the wave height, if you click on that it will change to the metric you are most familiar with. Ft. makes more sense to me than meters. Have fun! Oh, you can spin the earth around and zoom in and out as well.. :-)
That is fascinating. Must admit though, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it come to these things. I did go into the web site and I gather I'm looking at waves?
