Thanks for the compliments to the Vienna Puzzle of Frohnleichnam. I have watched this twice and its just awsome. Your puzzles are beautiful. I made two
Great story, toto! And you had your camera right there!
A magnificent bird!
I like where you live, stream and greenway, my kind of place!
Thanks for posting.
Yikes, I'm late with yard chores. The beautiful tree is actually a dead bush that bought it in the drought this summer and is scheduled for removal this weekend.
The hawk photo is nice, but I wish you'd also post one of that beautiful looking tree in the corner with the orange leaves. It looks like it's in fine form! Thanks for the hawk photo, Toto. Hey, I made a rhyme!
This is one of a pair that live in the neighborhood. We live pretty close to a large greenway with stream and our lots are fairly large so the hunting must be pretty good for them.
We have lots of cats, too, so the hawks don't dare come close.
Hawks eat mice of which we have plenty out in the fields. We see lots of hawks around here, but never on the lawn.
It is hard to see in the photo, but this big guy has a chipmunk in his talons. I was sitting on our covered back porch when he struck so he didn't see me until after he was on the ground. After that, he kept a pretty close eye on me. I was pretty darn awe struck and think I held my breath the whole time he stayed.
Don't like those kind of visitors. Whenever they come around, I lose a bird!
But, it's a great shot!
