i think that you are right about all hallowes, phyllis. no children called last night as the weather was awful. cold, rain and windy!
i've noticed the jarrow march jigs. were some of them of a modern march following the route of the original. something in the back of my grey matter seems to remember it.
good to hear from you.
Hi John, yes they do observe it here, but we steer right clear of it. It appears it may have come from al old and obscure Anglican Day, the Feast of All Hallowes I think. I don't knw very much about it really, but our family has never had any interest in it. There are much nicer feasts to observe aren't there!
Was it! I have just done a puzzle of Karlis', there has been an amazing series of a march from Jarrow in 1936. The puzzle I did today was of a ship called the Duchess, the last ship built at the shipyard I believe. I fear that Britannia does not rule the waves anymore John, and maybe hasn't for a while.
Right I must away, I have started to cough and must mean I am cold.
Pob hwyl - Phyllis
Hi, Phyllis. Happy Hallowe'en. I'm not sure if you do much to mark HH in NZ. It has become more popular here these days. When I was a kid there was hardly anything. I rarely get "trick or treaters". Definitely enemy fire!!!
Was this enemy or friendly fire?
Hope you enjoy them., Night night.
Well, who is to tell who is wise and who is not wise. I am having a try at the 2-300pcs
I think that you are wise. There are only a few odd people who do these!
I solemnly swear: I will not try any 400pce version - not your puzzles at least
That's what I'm going to do now, Lis. I'm part way through doing the 400pce version and need a break!!
After the mushrooms/frog I hardly notice anything. Think I should grab something to eat while I still can
It is almost impossible using the pad against a mouse. Have you noticed that your times are improving, though?
What an ugly look. Guess I'll never beat you on the score
