I forgot to leave a comment...again. Anyway, it won't be long until they are dripping with delicious fruit.
Thanks monica and PamCal. It was disastrous for the apple farmers last year and I hope it will be a bumper crop for them this year. I did notice earlier this week they were in there doing some pruning.Glad you found that post chickie - fitting tribute for your lovely photos together with the talents of shirley 68. Interesting story there PG - Perhaps what I'll do instead is lend them Lola pug dog and guard them. For sure warbler gonna get another shot when the white blooms are on them.
Very lovely, I'll bet it's absolutely gorgeous with all the blossoms and apples!
When I lived in New York we had apple trees too. It was wonderful watching them 'sping' back to life!
Thank you aggie. I FINALLY found it. I guess I am blind. : )
When I was young we had a farm in upstate NY and had Apples on the farm. We had to plant a row of Florabunda roses to stop the city people from coming and picking the Apples. Not because they cost so much money but they would break branches off the tree to get to the Apples they wanted. My job on the weekend was to sit on the orchard side of the bushes with a shotgun over my knee and ask them, very politely, If I could be of any assistance. When they made it through the roses MOST of what they had on looked like they went through a shredder and I would make them return the same way. If the Sheriff was close and caught them they had a chance to purchase the ones we had at the stand for $.25 each or keep the nones they had if they got past me for $5 each. Not a lot of return business in Apples from the city people.
Great shot aggie. Speaking of back, you should come back to this exact spot when they are blooming at show us again.
not yet jack, thinking in about a month.
no I meant from about 2 hours ago, from another person, if you can, check it out, you'll love it, I'm sure.
Are you talking about 'Favorite Fall pic of a Barn'? Or 'Down the aLane in the Fall'? They are both beautiful puzzles Aggie.
Life is good isn't it chickie...if you remember and you didn't get a chance to go back a few pages there may be something there that looks familiar - just lovely, in fact.
Won't be long now aggie. Thanks
