The Weeks, who the library was named after was(is) an old longstanding family in the area. Inside, the library had lots of mid-1800's character, too. Obviously built to last. One of the earliest brick homes in New Hampshire(1600's) was in Greenland. I believe it was the Weeks home.

Great building, and a fine history you have provided. This seems to be close to Portsmouth. So many historical places in a small space.

You're right....this building was built to be beautiful and solid. It has truely stood the test of time because it is both!

I like it Folsom. I wish I would have thought of it when I was there. But they were having a good plant sale out front and I was distracted.

Are you sure it's not named the Weeks Library because you can check stuff out for ... you know ... like, two weeks?
