Thanks, Mags! I need all the help I can get installing bird netting. I have used it, but nearly lost my mind dealing with the wretched stuff - - it has a mind of its own and does not submit easily to my efforts.

As for the dog eating grapes, they might not be good for him -- raisins, which are made from grapes, are reputedly toxic for dogs. Fortunately, my dog, who is the original "chow hound", has not yet discovered grapes on the vine, but it could be only a matter of time. Tsk!

Oh, and I have no intention of making grape jelly after a summer spent preserving figs. Would you like some fig jam?

Thanks, Hanne and Mags!

Warb, mockingbirds and small rodents do not recognize fences. Bird netting is the word, but it is devilishly difficult to deploy.

Put up a fence. Good luck, I'd like to see a photo of your own grape jelly!

Tsk, Robbie. . . .
