Why are you reporting this puzzle?

I made these daisies for a puzzle I posted on 3 January, and thought that the colours would be fun to use for this cube too. I was aiming for a Rubik’s cube look – therefore the black edges and slightly rounded corners.

It gives me immense pleasure making puzzles, and I hope it gives you pleasure solving them. (•‿•)

Yep - this design is not easy to solve for folks who prefer symmetrical patterns and grid layouts. But I remember being surprised at how popular the cube designs are with the solvers, when I posted my first one. Glad you're having a great time with it. ((HUGS))

Gorgeous puzzle. Fun but hard. 52:29 Thanks. There is another smaller one of these. I'm working down from largest to smallest. I'm having a great time. ((HUGS))

Thanks Janet!! I LOVED the cube. And just HAD to figure out how to solve it. And then how to get faster at it. Not that I would have broken any records or anything. Now, I think I'd have to peel the little colour stickers off and put them back on in their colour groupings to solve it! LOL!!

I hope you're surviving the heat. I'm camped out in the living room - the only (somewhat poorly) air-conditioned room in the house. But it's better than the 35C outside!! And now I must dash. Last-minute additions to be made to my puzzle for today, which will be posted in 20 minutes. See you there! (•‿•)

Thanks Kirsten - very nice ! I remember when the Cube came out, one of our sons shut himself in his bedroom for nearly the whole weekend until he had solved it. I have to say that the rest of the family did not appreciate his cleverness & were quite rude to of him for quite a while! Personally, I could only do the top & one row & that was it!! Cheers, Janet

I thought it would be very difficult too, Danielle. So, colour me surprised! LOL I'm glad you had fun with it, and that it brought back good memories of maths at school! as you say, that doesn't happen so often. LOL Thanks for dropping by. (•‿•)

Wow! I thought "this is going to be very difficult", but though I didn't make it to the top ten, I just found it very, very interesting. It reminded me of 3D geometry at school, the only aspect of maths that I enjoyed. I also enjoyed the colours in your Kirsten's cube. Thank you!!

I figured as much! When I first started out, I loved the largest puzzles too. Although I didn't like them to be too challenging. I figured the challenge was in the number of pieces - but hard to discern patterns would drive me nuts! And definitely was known to bail out part way through if it was proving to be too challenging. My faves were collage styles in the largest number of pieces I could find them in. Now? It's the littlest ones due to lack o' time. Ah, well. The joy of making puzzles more than makes up for it. And I think you're right about the numbers of people who enjoy high-count number of pieces. In my experience, medium, large and huge are by far and away the most popular size categories. It's always a "slow burn" with the solves on the really big sizes. They may not put as many solves on as the others at first. But they gather momentum over the next week I find. This very puzzle is evidence of that. (•‿•)

I knew it would be challenging when I started it; if I weren't up for it, I'd have skipped it, or abandoned it in the middle. Anybody with a little experience in Jigidi is a pretty good judge of degree of difficulty, and whether they want to try it. So there's nothing to apologize for. An awful lot of Jigideers seem to mostly do the higher-count puzzles, many of which are more difficult than yours (which have patterns, bright colors, and gradient backgrounds); i.e. a lot of players *want* difficult puzzles.

RandomWorship

Well, well, well Don. In light of your recent wise counsel about not apologising for challenging puzzles, you leave me with no choice but to say "suck it up, princess"!!! LOL!! But seriously? Thanks! I'm so glad you had fun with this one. (•‿•)

Very colorful, very Rubik, and very challenging in this size!

RandomWorship

Excellent!! And look how they DON'T match your new profile pic! LOL

I always get lost in your cubes! This was no exception! That's lost in a GOOD way! Thanks so much, Kirsten!

Much prettier than the Rubik cube! Thanks for such a fun puzzle to do.

I love the looks of it, but have to bookmark it for tomorrow....thank you Kirsten :))) It promises to be fun :)

I knew that! And you have a great week too, Janet. I'm off to make dinner now. Home-made pesto with fresh grated Reggiano. YUM!!! But be happy that I won't be breathing over you tomorrow. It is somewhat* garlicky.

* I may have underestimated that. LOL

GoldenCat

Only kidding - have a great week Cheers, Janet :))
