Years ago I went out on a whale watching boat from Provincetown MA...one of the MOST incredible experiences of my whole life! No words are adequate to describe how huge and graceful these creatures are!!! Thanks for the GREAT pic! ;-)))

Yes, I was in a Zodiak rubber boat, getting ready to dive and a big whale breached right next to the boat. We were so low in the water that it was HUGE. There were barnacles all over it. It was quite something! I was so excited to see it, I wasn't afraid at all!

One beautiful summer day we were approaching the ferry dock for Vancouver, B.C. (Tsawassen) and had to wait to unload as a pod of orcas was breaching and diving under the boats to feed on the salmon run heading up river to spawn. Thrilling...glad we weren't in a tiny boat.
