We planted this months ago and had no tag to tell us what it was. A yellow butterfly kept going to it all summer. Finally a neighbor told us it was a Cassia plant and would bloom in late September. Well bloom it did as you can see. Lovely bright yellow flowers and well worth the wait.

Thanks for your interest. We had flowers through December and here in Florida, we did have a few frosts over the winter. Did not harm the plants and it is here again this spring, as good as ever. Epcot had one in its butterfly garden, too.

Interesting plant and you are right, it's neat that it blooms so late in the season. How much cold can it tolerate I wonder?
