For me, it's the situation - driving in dense fog is extremely stressful and if I'm into a "I want to have complete control of my life" mood, fog can be very difficult. But if I can just BE, then being wrapped in fog can be almost magical.
Very well put, Kate. But with my overactive imagination, every shadow is a monster! (Unless the monsters are afraid of the fog, too!)
Your pasture is such a lovely image - foggy but lovely. Perhaps it's because we can't see well in the fog that our other senses are heightened. I love the quietness in fog and the moisture on my skin. Generally I love sunshine and warmth but I'm also addicted to diversity. (which I consider a good thing since that's what the universe is about - all the same but all different)
I'm the same way, Kate. Fog scares the hell out of me if I have to leave the house. But it is so nice to walk around the pasture in the fog and try to hear other sounds. I pretend I'm the only one left in the world, just me and the corgis.
Thanks JC. I'm not a big fan of fog but there are times, when it seems to cloak everything in mystery, that I find it amazing and delightful.
I like this picture, Kate.
