I remember my parents saying: Do you call THAT music? when the Beatles were on the radio. I think the music we know from our youth is the music we love all our life, Juneshone :-)
sixties and seventies music was great, it all went wrong in the middle of the eighties and became mediocre. you could say that I grew old but my era was 50's music all schmaltzy and romantic, give me a bit of heavy metal thunder and I'm happy, plus the odd bit of reggae
Yes, I'm still alive and know the lyrics to a bazillion songs. Just can't remember the artists that sang many/most of 'em. My "bremp" is limited in that regard. (I don't do well on "Jeopardy" either!!) LOL
they were all on the juke box in my bar and I used to buy them from a firm called Oldies Unlimited. We were well known for having the best juke box in town lol
That could be added to the list too, Juneshone. The bands / Singers I post were famous in the sixties. And so many people remember them. That means they must have meant something in our youth :-)
You're not only on top of the board, Ladycharnley, but you know the band as well. I wanted to complete the lyrics that you wrote, but then I thought: Naaaa, I can't do that lol
Then I'm not going to tell you, Treker. I'll only confirm or not what someone else says :-) I thought this one was easy though, as the singer (standing on the left) is known...
