Why are you reporting this puzzle?

I posted this photo many months ago on here. I expected it would be a puzzle that got a lot of solves, but it didn't. I tweaked it a little bit in my editing program and am trying it again. I took this photo the day I was trying out kayaks and deciding which kind to buy. I did my tryout on this lake which is called Vancouver Lake, in Vancouver, Washington. I was in Eugene, Oregon when "Helen" blew her top that Sunday morning. Even though the explosion was on the opposite side of the mountain, we could plainly hear it way down in Eugene.

genevap, it's hard for me to imagine it could be that grown over now. Terry

Mrgoodboy, what is the name of that movie, would like to watch it. Thanks

seagirl17, I agree, it was eerie when we were there also. We have friends up there and they say that it is so grown in that area now, that you cannot tell there was any devastation. Hard for me to picture, but this picture says it is true.

I don't know why, but this puzzle stumped me. It's beautiful. I certainly wouldn't want to live right in the shadow of the mountain. Insurance only helps so much. connie

A movie was made about it , starring Art Carney as Harry Truman, the old man who refused to leave . It is an excellent movie. I recommend it .

genevap, I got to go up on the mountain, as far as you are able to drive, several years after the eruption. It still looked like an eerie lunar landscape then. I have heard things have started growing there again and it looks quite different today. Terry

Was in that area a while after it blew, while it was still huffing and puffing. Amazing to see the damage it had done! Not allowed to stay long in the area, but before we were sent away, I got to discover the magnitude of a volcano. It was a great historic moment in my life that I will never forget. I love your photo of this great mountain.
