They were quite cowered by the Galah Dave - I've never seen that behaviour before. We had the feeder hanging by a nylon rope at first - but the possums played havoc with that - at least the chain is possum-proof, and we don't find the feeder on the ground any more:)) Thanks Dave!
Thanks Lorna, ikook, Ank, Ginger, smllpkg and snooker! The Galahs usually come to the feeder when all the other birds have left - early morning and late afternoon - so this one must have been extra hungry:))) There's plenty of food to go around - so none of them go hungry!!! Thanks for all your comments - I appreciate them:)))
Thanks Mary - yes, I agree, Jigidi is a great place to see the exotic:))) We see them every day:))
Thanks Janet - it's usually the Lorikeets who are the bossy ones here too - and this little 'spat' surprised me:))) He even joined them at the big feeder for a while, so maybe he's used to them!!
I certainly wouldn't argue with that beak Barb - or the Lorikeets:))) Thanks!!
Thanks Cathy - the Galah actually won this little spat - and he was left in peace at the feeder!! Usually the Lorikeets outnumber the Galahs by about ten to one:)))
A fun one thanks Rob. It's funny as our Rainbow Lorikeets usually bluff the Galahs. You caught a great sequence here. Even though we have our own similar entertianment, I always love to see yours. Thanks and hugs, Janet
I Love your colorful birds. That's one of the thing i like about Jigidi. We get to see so many things that seem exotic to us, but are native to others. Thanks Rob.
