Awww, thank you, Phyllis! And right back at you! :)
It will be a blessing so wonderful, for you both PLG, something neither of you will never forget, and a story for the new baby one day. God bless you PLG, you sound like you're a really nice lady - Phyllis
Aww, that's precious! Thank you, Cilycoed! My daughter is expecting a baby this spring -- I will remember that thought!
I have to agree with yellowGal, we too adopted an older child, we are the best of friends and we've never regretted a moment. Perhaps the best part has been that I was with her when she had her first child, making up for not being there when she was born she says:-))))Happy New Year
Ha! Thanks, Potatomum!
How did the bartender know her name was Bill? (sorry!)
Thank you Yellowgal. And for your kind comment about my daughter. She's a gem. :)
Time 0:26 Love this joke, Patti, I think she is a wonderful duck despite her generous bill. And thank you for having adopted an 'older' child, they deserve to have parents, too! God bless.
Thank you, Celeste!
Thank you, Sally. :)
You are very clever and funny today Ms PLG... Thanks for the giggles and the good looking duck.... :) :)
Thank you, PG, Shirley, TS, & PH!!!
(Say, Suzy -- love your new pumpkin look!)
Good one, Yarnover! I agree.
Thanks Patti, her bill or beak serves the purpose, she's a sweetie.
Nice looking young lady Shoveler. They are a great duck to have on the pond.
Thanks, Pat. :)
Thanks, Jan. I know what you mean.
Thanks, Oddio -- I love your story! That would crack me up, too!
Ha, Yarnover! Love it!
Don't know about Betty Davis eyes but she's got Barbra Streisand's nose.
Looks like she could play ping pong with that beak!
: > ) My youngest, now a parent herself, would hear me tell some corny joke and study on it for a minute, finally catch on, and look at me and say, "Get it??" That always cracked me up.
Groan... have you ever tried play-on-word jokes to a Mexican? Lost in translation.
Love it so cute thanks Patti
Thank you, Katzmum. :)
Thank you, Ank. Sorry -- I think it's hard to understand jokes in different languages. I adopted my daughter from VietNam when she was about 8 years old, and although she learned English pretty quickly, jokes took much longer. Even now when she's 26, she still doesn't understand a lot of jokes. I think it's great that you figured it out!
I like it Patti and she has a big bill
I'm so stupid. I read bills and I did not understand wat a bill had to do with a duck. So I took my dictionary and discovered the other meanings of bill. Why didn't I read the comments first. I should have understand much sooner
Wow! That is some beak, a very pretty one! Love it, thank you!
Thank you for your comments, MerryChristmas, Goingsilver, TS7, and Snooker. :)
She really does have a big bill compared to other ducks. Good looking bird.
Ha,ha, good one. I've known quite a few shovelers, but they were all human! Thanks, PLG.
She is far prettier than her name. I love the way you match quotes, or in this case, jokes, with your puzzles! Brilliant, thanks.
(She's a northern shoveler. They filter tiny insects and plants from the surface of the water with their big bills.)
