Elfie, beautiful white flowers. Thank you.
I didn't believe it but it's true it doesn't grow but in Europe and Asia!! Oh, what a pity that you haven't got it! It's such a wonderful berry, good for SO many things. And you can make great things out of the flowers!! Thanks so very much Ardy!! I do hope that everything went well today!!!
Beautiful, Hanne. I've heard about elderberries but never seen them. The flower is so nice. Thanks.
When the flowers fall off, there are little green berries instead and they grow to be deep purple and soft. What we mostly do is pick them, boil them and get out the juice and then make soup out of it. In winter it's wonderful to have some bottles of concentrated elderberry juice, you put just a little in a glass or cup fill up with hot water and drink it. It gives you warmth right out into the very tips of your toes, and is very good if you cough or feel bad with a cold or influenza!! Thanks so very much Jo!!
Beautiful "bouquet" of flowers! Does the tree then make berries? I've heard of Elderberry wine, but never tasted it! Thanks for showing us!! :) :)
How do you make them, Sandy? It sounds VERY interesting!! I know how to make elder flower "juice" and elderberry soup, but nothing else!! Thanks so very much!!
These are beautiful Hanne and I have a recipe for Elder flower pancakes. It was handed down from my German grandma.
