Neither do I !......(Hee-Hee).....
I think others don't realize the creativity that is on display, nor the fun that we have. I've tried to explain Bugosiland and it's not easy - hence go to the website and see for yourself. Then again, I often don't understand Bugosiland.....
Yes, that's what I'd do - at least make the effort and mention it....even if you don't like jigsaws!.....
I never understood why not, when it's so easy to access, and it takes just a few minutes to glance through a profile. It's not like having a friend who paints or sculpts or plays an instrument or does anything else creative (not on the internet), where you have to either go to their house or a gallery or a concert or such to see their work. This is a few clicks away. It's more like having an author for a friend, to me--I know if someone I knew published something, I'd be sure to at least get it and check it out, and say something to them... And looking at Jigidi is faster and cheaper than that!
Ha!....Know the feeling......None of my family/friends ever bothered checking this out (as far as I know), even after innumerable hints!......
It really is......
Yes you're so right, but it's always difficult to ask somehow.
I didn't hear you say anything about not worrying about the power, no sir, not me, so you didn't jinx anything! :-D
It is nice to have her check them out--truthfully, I was always a little hurt that none of my kids, or my cousins, ever bothered to look at Jigidi even once, even after they knew how much it meant to me and my sense of self-esteem... Maybe I just didn't ask them directly enough to look, and just assumed that they would get the hint and use the info I gave them about the site's name and my profiles... Life always goes better when you don't just hope that people will figure out what you want, but when you actually come out and tell them! :-)))
I hate to screw with fate, but power usually isn't an issue during snow storms. It's more a matter of waiting to be shovelled and/or plowed out. But I have lots of food in the house, so as long as I don't lose power for an extended time, there's no worries.
The snow hasn't yet started, but the flurries should start any time now. But the majority of the snow will be tomorrow.
It's great that Courtenay can see your wonderful creations and it's another way for you all to keep in touch.
Oh, whatnauts, now it's your turn to be worried about! That's a lot of snow--I hope you stay safe and warm and power-ful! :-) I have the feeling that Courtenay has a little too much on her plate to take time for Jigidi! But I'm glad that I can now share my work with her!
Hi, Courtenay! We were just talking about you! LOL! I spoke to Casey last night, and that was the plan. And the power company had told him yesterday that they would do the tree, so he's following up on that. Love and hugs to you and my grandboy! XOXOX
Thanks for the instructions and info, Mama! Good to hear Casey has power. I hope they do go home soon, and that the tree gets dealt with soon! Love and hugs from your California fans!
Glad it's over PD, at least this round. We're expecting 6-10 inches starting tomorrow afternoon and into Saturday.
So it looks to me like you talked your daughter into joining, but she hasn't solved any puzzles yet!!!
Well, lookie who's here!!! I saw your email, but seeing you here is a wonderful treat! Thanks for stopping by--and for the story about that woman. I felt the same way, thrilled and fulfilled, and as if I'd redefined myself and my sense of self-worth, when I started drawing these and having people tell me they were worthwhile!
To be able to list your favorites, you have to be a gold star member. But just bookmark one puzzle from each person you like. Then, when you click on that puzzle, just click on that name, and it brings you to the profile and all the puzzles she/he created. The reason people pay to be a gold star, when what I just described is just as fast, is because we can then filter all the newly posted puzzles and have only our favorites pop up. That way we can be sure we don't miss anything our friends posted, given that a 1,000 or so puzzles get put up every day.
Casey did get his power back--Dad went there this afternoon to feed Funzie, and found it on; he then raised the thermostat--the house was only 46 degrees. They should be going home tomorrow. The tree is still on the roof, though...
Love to you and Luke! :-)))
Very pretty, mama! Glad the snow stopped and Cub still has a warm hotel to be in. xoxo
Thanks so much, Mimi, whatnauts, and Kathy! Well, it finally ended during the night, and we got 7 inches. But we still have power, and the roads around us are plowed (so I'm assuming that the more major roads must be cleared as well), so all is well. I feel sorry for all those people still struggling with no power, and especially those who lost their homes and are living in shelters... My son Casey still has no power, but he and his family are in a hotel, an expensive option many can't afford. We consider ourselves lucky, indeed!
I'm glad you enjoyed this--I tried to draw an oval one, using what I wrote about below--different colors for the lines so they will also emboss. After I got it all drawn, I discovered that I had inadvertently changed the background in each oval to a texture (the color of the the background was white at that point, so I couldn't see any texture), which made coloring it in a pain! I will try again, although I will probably post the embossed version as a small anyway, since it took so long to make, and is pretty as is, just not what I was hoping for...! LOL!
Ditto all that whatnauts said! :-))
This was fun. Glad to hear larger versions will appear tomorrow!!!
Stay safe PD. Talk about a double whammy.
You will surely be in our prayers. I heard on TV that the storm is moving fast, but 6 inches doesn't sound like it.
Thanks so much, PJ and Barb! I just realized why I ended up with those pretty drawing lines--I drew the swirl using different colors for each circle, instead of black, so when I embossed it, the lines changed colors as well (for some reason, LunaPic doesn't change black). Now I'll have to remember that for the next one I draw, because I think it enhances the final swirl!
We have about 6 inches now--I just shoveled--and it's still snowing. It is so unreal, following Sandy so closely--people are losing power again, and some are being evacuated again... We are fine, but worried--and annoyed! :-D
Sending more hugs your way, Pat. Stay warm and safe!
Oh Pat, your swirl is beautiful and I love how you've used the colors
YES YES YES! Yesterday they were predicting the accumulation to be less than a half inch, but we already got at least 2 inches in the past hour... Thanks for the hugs! :-)))
It's snowing up there????? NO NO NO. Not on top of everything else you all are having to put up with after Sandy. Warm hugs coming your way - fast. (((HUGS)))
Hello, Starla, Barb, Jan, Roseheather, Ardy, Mandy, and Mimi! I found this in my LunaPic file--it's a regular hand-drawn one, but, as you guessed, embossed and also given harsh lighting (if I'm remembering correctly...!). I really liked it when I made it, which makes me worry that I've already posted it...LOL! But I looked through many pages under both profiles, and didn't see it, so I decided I would take the chance and go with it! I think I will post it in medium and large, tomorrow. Anyway, thanks so much for all the nice comments--right now I'm looking at all the snow accumulating on the lawn outside the window, and I needed some warm words desperately! :-)))
Terrific swirl Pat. Pretty and fun also!
Wonderful swirl, Pat, I do love the emboss effect, it makes it sparkle beautifully, thanks.
Pat, I forgot to post my comment. Grrr. I like this for the gentle, warm, cuddly colors and for being a delightful swirl. Thank you.
Lovely. The colors are cheerful!
This was an exceptionally nice swirl! I loved the gold edging on some of the colors. And, speaking of colors, these were particularly pleasing in combination! Loved it. Thanks, Pat!
Ahhh, just in time, Pat. I'm heading out shortly and needed my daily swirl fix, Thanks :-))
Would like this in more pieces. Thank you
