Oh....and I thought that the different color pieces are glued together...ha! It is a lovely piece of art and I'm sure you are proud to own it. Thanks snooker :)
Each different color of wood is a separate piece and they are joined together to form this. There are probably 30 or more pieces in it. The people that made it used to live in our park.
It's a beauty snooker and I love things carved in wood....thank you for the link to this puzzle :)
That'd be great! Thanks, Snooker :-)
There is a huge one down in the park rec hall that I'll try to get a photo of later. They donated it years ago.
Thanks for a good set of puzzles today, Snooker. Intarsia is not an easy skill to master. The creators of these pieces were/are talented.
You're very welcome, Patti.
This one's my favorite too. Thanks for the neat set, Snooker!
Very nice piece, snooker!
Thanks, punkin, gemstone, Shirley and Rachel. He was the first piece I chose when we decided to have some made.
Lovely work of art!
Very sweet snooker, Thank you.
So that's what this is called. I've always loved the blending of grains, the contrast of woods, and the artistry involved. The otter is a sweetie.
His expression is just that of pure contentment!
He measures 9 1/2" X 16" and is in my bedroom. Glad you both like the little guy.
It's so neat! I like this one the best, thank you.
This little Otter is also my favorite. It's well done. Thanks snooker.
