Voor een Albert Heijn moet ik inderdaad naar Maastricht. Het merk Delicata zegt me niet dadelijk iets. Feit is wel dat winkelen in Nederland veel goedkoper is dan in België. Soms wippen we wel eens de grens over naar een Jumbo of zo. Dat scheelt veel eurootjes in de portemonnee. Dank voor je tip.
Ja dan hebben ze een klus. Maar even terug komen op cote d'or. Als we het over gewone chocolade hebben, dus geen bon bons. Vind jij Cote d'or dan de beste? Heb jij een Albert Heijn in de buurt? In ieder geval zal er wel een in Maastricht zijn. Dan moet je de repen van delicata eens proberen, het eigen merk van AH. Ik ben zelf geen echte kenner, snoep te weinig, maar o.a. mijn man vindt het veel lekkerder dan Cote d'or. Probeer maar eens.
Heel graag gedaan, Ank. Daar heb je dan weer een zoekmachine voor hè :-). Je moet eerst zelf maar eens proeven, maar die pralines zijn wel lekker en ze komen in zoveel variëteiten. Ze zijn wel vrij prijzig (vind ik toch), maar ja, je hebt ze in doosjes van 100 g tot een kilo :-) De virtuele knuf wordt in grote dank aanvaard. Iemand die nu dit door de vertaalmachine wil jagen, zal er zijn werk aan hebben :-)
Kijk dat noem ik nog een service. Heel hartelijk bedankt. Nee het is niet echt in de buurt maar ik ga er gewoon achteraan. Waarschijnlijk niet gelijk morgen maar het komt wel. Heel aardig van je. Je krijgt er een virtuele knuffel voor.

Thanks for the tips on which ones to get, Starlord. Our daughter's birthday is next month and she is living in South Korea right now. Her favorite birthday request is chocolates from Belgium!!!
I agree with you (surprise!!) about the setting for chocolate.....
But, I like the little kid's way, too! LOL
It's a shame, but Belgian brands have been bought by foreign companies. The quality is still the same though, but the big money leaves Belgium. I think 97% is not even tasty. Eating chocolate depends on the settting? Okay... a rug, an open fire, a nice cd in the player... Yummy :-)
@ Pj: Indeed, not every Belgian chocolate is good. My personal brand is Cote d'Or. I like that. But should you go for the 'better stuff', my favourite is Leonidas. They don't come in tablets though. That is sooooo yummy... but the price isn't yummy :-(
Oh yes, every supermarket sells Belgian chocolates, but most are not tasty. Usually cheap factory stuff. I remember a shop in Maastricht they had very good chocolates. Now I talk about 50 years ago. The owners were two women. Here we don't have that special business with real Belgian chocolates, so maybe you have a tip for a brand? Personally I don't have a sweet tooth.

Hmmm, interesting - I've never seen anything but Belgian milk choc. 97% is a bit much for me - something a little sweeter please. Who enjoys it the most? Well, generally little children are the greatest enjoyers of all good things but with chocolate - it depends on the setting.
It comes in all sorts, Mpilnadyful. From white to 97% pure. Could be 98 too, not sure about that, as I don't like pure chocolate. Which is as black as black can be. And as far as the little child is concerned, who do you think enjoys it the most? Right :-)
I have no misconceptions about myself - in spirit I'm definitely the little child smeared in chocolate. Ummmmmmmmm good. I know Belgian chocolate has a good reputation but does is come in dark chocolate?
