Thank you Dottie and laura. You are so right Tatinha. I have seen so many nice looking buildings demolished to make progress for the NEW. Thank you for your comment.
It's terrible to think that we can't survive much longer the way we live, without thinking in preservation and reuse. Everybody just think in getting new things all the time.
I read somewhere recently where these old barns have become a part of the natural landscape in rural America. Very nice, chickie!
I was a beauty in it's day, Chickie! Thanks!
Thank you Hanne, Ank, colin and Patti.LOL Leonard. Not my house.Thank you for the lovely poem bradjan. I love it!
Love it! Thanks Sandy!
I'm sold on derelict buildings........................ so many stories. Thanks, Sandy.
The old barn sleeps, ignored, beside the highway,Where tourists thunder by, vacation bound. And in her dreams she sees her past unfolded,And ghosts of folk who once walked here-around
is this your house louisa?
That's a good plan Sandy, re-use of it. No then we don't make a campfire. Love the photo.
Left over to wind an weather!! Thanks so very much Sandy!!
Thank you Suzy, JiggyBelle and young man. I have some old barn wood that I brought her from northern Illinois 13 yrs ago. That is what I use to make my bluebird houses.
Pumpkin is right there is a lot of good barn siding that can be used for home decorations. Our clubhouse is constructed from the snow fencing in Colorado. It was re-milled and ruff sawn and used as interior planking.
This view is amazing! What a great photo! Thanks, Chickie.
Nice to have both views. Thanks, chickie!
Thank you jcarroll, Gene, aggie, morris and warbler.
Nope, can't save this side either. See, that roof support work you can see through the hole in the roof is what made me think my corn crib, last night, might have been just a barn without any siding. But as I thought of it, I decided the wood framework was closer together than needed to put on siding. Thanks for the double, Chickie. Nice idea!
back/front still a beautiful old building, thanks for posting chickie.
well that is fine as we get to see the whole barn .... thanks chickie for posting thw whole barn I appreciate it
Love it, chickie!
