Yes, they can be very destructive. I know some people call em 'rats with bushy tails'! Still think they are cute tho, but prefer the red ones which are dying out over here in England.

they're pesky little vermin...not many around cuz the big birds seem to have them for lunch...oh my gosh bones...

I have a nest of them, inside my wall and can not get them out

I have a half dozen that will empty my birdfeeder in a couple of hours, leaving my cardinals with nothing by dusk.
