Another fabulous close-up shot. I've always found the patterns in the seed head to be fascinating.

Not today. They can't make up their minds about what's coming. First it's snow, then a warmup! We've had a lot of rain lately. Who knows what's next? I don't care as long as it isn't summer!

Thanks, Sis! Is it as humid there as it is here? I could take the dry heat but when you step out the door the humidity feels like a wet blanket is being thrown over you!

Thanks kiki and laurajane! I'm looking forward to spring but not summer, laurajane! But if I could grow sunflowers like this one, it might be worth enduring the hot, humid, steamy weather! :)
